Bring Beautiful Butterflies

Backyards

Growing plants for butterflies and their caterpillars

Join author and butterfly guru Helen Schwencke of Earthling Enterprises for this workshop in Jillian's Garden for Wildlife on Sunday afternoon the 6th of March from 1pm to 4.30pm.

Helen will take us around the garden introducing the trees, vines, moths and caterpillars therein.  The walk will be followed by a presentation discussing a few members of the five families of butterflies and 69 families of moths found in Australia and their unique contribution to maintaining the integrity of our natural environment.  The poster of the Chequered Swallowtail (above) is one example of the wonderful slides that will support Helen's presentation.

Participants will receive a copy of the

Top Ten Plants for 32 Butterflies

brochure to help you choose what to grow where in your garden from a butterfly's perspective.

Afternoon tea provided.

Cost: $10 for Gardens for Wildlife members; $15 for non-members.

Bookings essential.
