Rubbish & Recyclables What's What

Everybody's doing it

(recycling that is)

Could we do it better?

Have you been faced with the dilemma of what's rubbish and what's recyclable?  Can you put the same items that are recyclable at Sunshine Coast Council recycling facilities into your yellow lidded bin? or the public place recycle bins?  Glass jars and bottles are recyclable, but what about tin/plastic lids and bottle tops?

Come along and hear:

  • presentation by a Guest Speaker from council's Waste 2 Resource Education Program who will give us the drum on all things recyclable.
  • Our Office Manager, Theresa Bint, who will share the challenges of Plastic Free July, both in the office and at home, practical and existential.
If you have items of rubbish that you suspect are recyclable but are unsure whether they belong in the yellow lidded bins, bring them along (washed please) and find out where they're meant to go.
