Build your own canoe at Maleny Wood Expo!

This year, under the tutelage of highly experienced canoe-builder Brian Jones, you and your crew will build a 3.6 m canoe from hoop pine. All materials are supplied (by the generous folk at Boatcraft Pacific) and no experience is needed to enjoy this three-day workshop. It's designed to be a team effort, so get your boat-building buddies together for what promises to be a great experience. Your crew can be from two to five people with a minimum of one adult in each group. The minimum age for this activity is twelve and we really encourage kids to get involved. The workshop price of $550 per boat includes a three-day Maleny Wood Expo pass for each participant.  More info here
