Some time ago Barung became a Cane Toad Challenge Affiliate, partnering with Professor Rob Capon at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, University of Queensland.  Professor Capon and his team have developed a chemical lure to trap cane toad tadpoles.

We will be running a tadpole trap making workshop on Wednesday 11th December at the Barung Nursery, Porter's Lane, North Maleny. The first six paid registrants will receive materials to make their own traps (with direction, tools provided) on the day; the rest (max. nine) will be able to follow the process.  You will all receive a set of trap making instructions and those who have an abundance of tadpoles will receive Bufo tabs (baits).

Please wear covered shoes, bring a water bottle.

$16 for those making a trap.  Please register by Tues 3rd Dec to ensure we have materials.  Free for the rest
